Overview
Stolen Future: The Untold Story of the 2000 Election is an eBook that was published in 2018. Amazon claims, "In Stolen Future, investigative reporter Stephen Singular conducts a breathtaking historical excavation of a still-controversial 'cold case': the disputed, nail-biter 2000 election in Florida." I was asked to create a variety of images and graphics, including the book cover, press kit, and promotional images. Within the two-day timeframe allotted, I successfully researched, designed, and revised the press kit.

Solution
Inspired by the original ballot, I recreated the design as a vector image and used a variety of textures and filters to embody an aged, distressed feeling. Choosing a color palette of red, black, grey, and white allowed me to convey a sense of mournful urgency. For the cover of the press kit, I used a washed-out graphic of the ballot image I created for the book cover. Aiming for a well-designed, simple read, I captured white space where possible and created a layout that would move readers easily through the copy. Keeping design elements consistent, I was able to draw the book and the press kit together.
